Goodbyes are never easy. Every member of our Spectrum Health Innovations Committee brings a unique perspective and skills to the table. Whenever a valued committee member leaves our circle, we feel that loss keenly.
We at Spectrum Health Innovations will greatly miss Steve Heacock, JD, CPA, president and chief innovation officer of Spectrum Health Innovations, and senior vice president of public affairs and research. Steve Heacock has been with Spectrum Health Innovations since 2013. He left his post on Oct. 1, 2018, to accept a position as president of Whitewater, Inc. to do the important work of restoring the Grand River.
“While the strategic work for Innovations was important, my greatest pleasure was my interactions and work with truly outstanding people,” Heacock says. “Like everything, it was all about the people. I am grateful to have worked with and led the many bright, talented and forward-thinking individuals on my team. I continue to be a strong supporter of Spectrum Health’s work to improve the health of the communities they serve.”
Other committee members leaving during 2018 include Ronald Knaus, Thomas McGraw, Patrick O’Hare, David Ottenbaker and Seth Wolk.
We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Our gratitude goes out to each and every one of you for your service to our mission—to discover new ideas and work collaboratively with the community to develop innovations that improve the lives of the patients we serve. You continue to inspire us with your many contributions to our work. Your insights, your suggestions, your enthusiasm for innovative health care solutions will keep us moving forward on the Innovations journey, to continue to make a difference in our community.
We will miss you.
